Terms and Conditions 2021
Retreat Villas Lanzarote are the Booking Agents whom you will deal with from initial enquiry to completion of your holiday any contact regarding your holiday should be directed to this Company.
Contract of Hire
All bookings accepted by Retreat Villas Lanzarote are subject to these conditions which are deemed to have been accepted in full by the hirer and all persons in the party. Bookings can be made by email or telephone and would be deemed to be accepted once payment is received by us.
Making a booking
For all bookings, including those made by telephone, the person confirming the booking (the “Lead Name”) must have authority to do so on behalf of all the other people covered by the booking and must have read and accepted these booking conditions. The lead name will be responsible for the full cost of the holiday including any cancellation or amendment charges.
Bookings and Reservations shall only be negotiated by the Company on payment of a deposit for the seasonal rental. The balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to your arrival. If the payment is not received in full and on time, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled by the client.
If a booking is made less than 8 weeks from the date of arrival, the full cost must be made prior to the issue of the Confirmation of booking.
Adequate travel insurance must be in place by the clients before arrival in Lanzarote, the Company is not responsible for individual’s insurance cover, your health and safety at the villa is your responsibility. Likewise any welcome packs or products supplied by us in the villa are used/consumed at your own risk, please read all labels carefully if you have any allergies.
The price of accommodation
The price of the accommodation will be confirmed at the time of booking. If the client wishes to make any changes to the confirmed booking, the Client must notify us in writing as soon as possible. Where we can meet the request, an amendment fee of £50 per booking form may be payable.
Cancellation by the Client
Should the client or any member of the client’s party need to cancel a confirmed booking, the client must tell us in writing. This notification of cancellation will only be effective when it is received in writing by us in our offices. The cancellation charge, shown as a percentage, is calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person (s) cancelling

Depending on the reason for cancellation, the client may be able to reclaim these cancellation charges (less any applicable excess) from the Clients Insurance Company if the client has taken out travel insurance.
Alterations and Cancellations by Us
In the unlikely event that a villa becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Company, the client will be offered alternative accommodation within the price range as at time of booking or a full refund of any monies paid. Except in the conditions of Force Majeure is in place. Then no refund part or full of monies already paid, will be made, claims to be made against your credit card or travel insurance which should have been in place by the holiday lead person at time of reservation. Also, no refunds will be made if failure of any third party involved in this reservation ie transport to your destination, airlines, taxis, sea transport, etc. In the event that no suitable accommodation can be offered then a full refund of the villa rental (which has been received) will be refunded. Any refund is restricted only to the villa hire costs and we are not liable for any cancellation or administration charges for travel arrangements, etc.
Only persons listed on the booking form may occupy the villa. The villa cannot be re-let or sublet to any other group/party or individual.
Liability of the Company
The Company does not accept liability for any disappointment which the client may feel as a result of unrealistic expectations.
We cannot accept responsibility for any personal loss, injury or damage to personal belongings during your stay.
We cannot be held responsible for disruption to your holiday which is deemed out of our control, (Force Majeure) however alternative accommodation may be offered to you, No financial compensation on these occasions will be awarded.
The hirer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the property and its contents. The hirer shall ensure that no member of the party engages in any activity in or around the villa and swimming pool which may cause damage, offence to the neighbours, pollution to the water or damage to the structure or filtration equipment, this includes unacceptable anti-social behaviour.
All damage and breakages must be notified immediately to the Villa Management Company so that necessary repairs can be undertaken or broken items can be replaced.
The hirer will be responsible for making good any damage to the villa or its contents which has occurred due to negligence, wilful damage or irresponsible behaviour on the part of those occupying the villa or their guests. Such damage must be immediately reported to the Villa Management Company. The cost of replacement must be agreed with and paid for by the hirer.
Any complaints with regards to the property must be made immediately to the local representative so that corrective action can be taken to resolve the matter. And at any time during the reservation process Dialog between Retreat Villas Lanzarote and the hirer or any of its party is to be made by email and no other means of social media. Neither the Management Company nor their representatives shall have any liability for any complaint submitted after the completion of the hire period.
Arrival Access and Departure
All properties are available for occupation from 15.00 hrs on the day of arrival. All properties must be vacated by 10.00 hrs on the day of departure. If there is no arrival on your day of departure, we can allow guests to stay longer – you would need to check with the Agent if this is possible during your stay.
Prior to your stay, this villa has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected for any damages and to make sure everything is in order for your holiday. However, on your arrival to this property please have a good look around and check yourselves, if you happen to find anything you are not happy with then please report this to our management team within 12 hours of your arrival. We can then note and attend to any issues that you have found immediately during your stay.
Any damages that have not been reported to us within this time and are found on your departure day may result in your security deposit being withheld, so please take the time to have a good look around.
Retreat Villas Lanzarote does not make itself responsible for any incompliance of the obligations or for the effects of Act of God or 'Force Majeure’. -
